Rebecca Rolfe is a community activist who has worked on issues of social justice for over twenty-eight years. She is passionately committed to creating an environment where inequities based on gender, race, economic status, and sexual orientation are addressed effectively. She credits her commitment to community activism to her mother, who taught her the importance of commitment to community, a strong sense of justice, and the individual’s power to make a difference.

Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Rebecca served as the Center’s Deputy Director for four years. Prior to her arrival at the Center, she worked at San Francisco Women Against Rape (SFWAR) for over sixteen years, starting as a hotline counselor and ending with an eight year term as Executive Director.

Rebecca is active locally and statewide working to create public policy, programs, and coalitions that address issues of violence against women. She served on the Board of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault for eleven years, seven of them as Co-Chair of the Board. She continues to serve in leadership positions on statewide policy committees and task forces, including the Violence Against Women STOP Task Force and the State Advisory Committee of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

Rebecca lives in San Francisco, with Susan Mooney, her partner of twenty years and their two dogs, Jack and Fergus. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to provide leadership in developing the vision for the Center and to serve San Francisco’s diverse LGBT communities.

There's a special kind of magic that can only be found at CASA (Children’s After School Arts.) It is seen through the diverse team of artists/educators who create safe and inspiring spaces where kids can experiment, play & perform. It is seen through the encouraging and nurturing community where participants can uncover the light that shines within them. It is seen through the support for LGBTQ+ kids, families, and educators. CASA magic invites students and teachers alike to be their authentic selves in all of their intersectional glory.

CASA is an independent, nonprofit after school program with an emphasis on art, social justice, and social emotional wellness. CASA provides a platform for elementary & middle school students to express themselves, and learn about the world, through art and creativity. Perched up high in Twin Peaks at Rooftop School, the literal center of San Francisco, CASA is helping to raise the next generation to be open, curious, resilient, and fabulous!

CASA's Executive Director, Leslie Einhorn, founded the program in 1996 after being fired from a Bay Area private school for being gay. Her aim was to queer the conventional school setting and build an environment where non-traditional teachers can feel safe and seen, and all kids are celebrated and loved.

Tory Teasley is a highly talented musician, vocalist, and community activist hailing from Oakland. She holds a strong foundation in music and broadcast communications from Diablo Valley College. Her career took off when she had the honor of singing Mozart's Requiem at Carnegie Hall in 2009, under the renowned John Rutter's direction. Tory then went on to become a principal vocalist for the ancestral and ritual performance choir, Awon Ohun Omnira, which is dedicated to preserving songs such as negro spirituals, ring shout music, and Abbilona Egun (Yoruba ceremonial ancestral songs).

Throughout her career, Tory has performed at various venues in the Bay Area, including residencies at The Legionnaire Saloon, Penrose, Building 180, Study Hall Berkeley, Exploratorium, Filoli Historic Gardens, and more. Her talents have also gained recognition through appearances on American Idol and opening for multi Grammy-winning artist Fantastic Negrito at the Chapel in 2019.

In addition to being a musician, Tory has made significant contributions as a community organizer. She has curated programs like Vocal Sessions at The Marsh Theater in Berkeley and has been involved with the Queer Healing Arts Center, where she produced a weekly community enrichment sound healing and jam session called Happy Are They. Tory's skills as a live entertainer have allowed her to create personal soundtracks for various events, including corporate gatherings, private parties, funerals, and weddings. She is proud to be an ordained minister with the Universal Church of Light and has officiated multiple queer weddings.

Tory is also dedicated to music education. She has taught through nonprofit organizations such as Music for Minors, Rhythm and Moves, and Barbizon, bringing the joy of music to students from diverse backgrounds. Understanding the importance of music in mental development and unlocking creative potential, Tory has been a passionate advocate for providing music education to schools lacking proper funding.

During the challenges posed by the pandemic in 2020, Tory transitioned from being a music teacher to a public servant. She worked with underserved and housed youth at the nonprofit organization Fred Finch and later with adults at Bay Area Community Services. Tory's commitment to serving her community extends beyond her professional work, as she has also volunteered as a chef and food server with Food Not Bombs, an organization that provides healthy vegetarian meals to the homeless community in the Bay Area.

Renowned for her unique vocal sound often compared to a cello, Tory has released music under the moniker of Tory and the Teasers. She released her album "Free, Tory: Be Yourself, Love Yourself, Free Yourself" in 2018 and followed up with two singles in 2022, namely "All My Relations" and "Self Care," available on major streaming platforms. Tory's accomplishments have been recognized with awards and certificates of appreciation, including being named Trans Artist of The Year (2023) and serving as the Grand Marshal for Krewe De Kinque (2023). Additionally, she received a certificate of appreciation from the California State Assembly as a Cultural Barrier and was celebrated as an Inaugural Artist with the SF LGBT Center for her performance with Queer Vibes.

Nicole Adler is a speaker, host, and human rights advocate for the developmental disabilities and LGBTQ+ communities, focusing on LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion.

Since 2014, Adler has served as a governor-appointed member of the State Council onDevelopmental Disabilities, a board member for The Next Step Program, and recently participated in the Disability Thrive Initiative, which provides statewide training, support, and resources to Californians of all abilities. She shared her story in the 2021 mental health seminar for the CA Disability Thrive Initiative, supporting others suffering from depression.Additionally, Nicole helped create and starred in a California Department of Public Health announcement on Covid-19 vaccines. She has advocated for the ID/DD community on equal rights, mental health, voting rights, and housing rights through a series of web videos and public speaking engagements. In 2022, Nicole co-hosted The Arc of California's statewidePublic Policy Conference.

Nicole is expanding her role in the LGBTQ+ community, sharing her message of love and inclusion. In 2023, she co-produced and co-starred in the film "First X" which was selected by five film festivals in four states and won an award. The film was created with the intention of demonstrating that love has the power to break down barriers and change the perspective of humanity.

Nicole recently presented at two educational conferences on Empowering Equality onIntersectionality, Inclusion, and Advocacy for LGBTQ+ Youth with Disabilities. She also contributed to "Our Lives, Our Choices, Our Rights! The Rainbow Support Group Guidebook for LGBTQ+ and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities”.

Get ready to meet Xander Briere - a true force to be reckoned with! Born and raised in the Tenderloin, Xander is a disabled queer nonbinary activist with a passion for healthcare as a social justice movement, harm reduction, queer and trans liberation, decriminalization of sex workers, and youth homelessness advocacy.

Their work at the San Francisco Community Health Center is making a real impact in the community, and they're not stopping there. Xander is also a member of the Transgender District's Community Advisory Council (2023) and a National Youth Mentor with Point Source Youth (2022-present).

But that's not all - in their free time, Xander takes on the persona of Dirty Dionysus, a drag king who's all about go-go, burlesque, and plus-sized modeling.

But they're not just having fun - they're also distributing harm reduction supplies while they're at it. Nightlife outreach is Xander's way of meeting community members where they are, breaking down barriers to accessing services, and reducing the stigma around harm reduction. They perform with Divine Masc, Queer Fem Parties, and Om Nom Nom Burleque. They are also Mx. November (2023) for the Bay Area Trans Masc Calendar. Drawing on personal experiences of homelessness and generational housing instability, substance abuse, and sex work, Xander is driven to give back to the Tenderloin community in any way they can.
