Gays Raise American Flag To Celebrate Supreme Court Decision

Who: Gilbert Baker, creator of the Rainbow Flag and the Alexander Hamilton Post.

What: Today the US Supreme Court struck down the Texas sodomy laws in an historic 6-3 decision. To celebrate, the Alexander Hamilton Post (Gay Veterans) and Gilbert Baker will raise the American Flag on the flagpole at Harvey Milk Plaza, where the Rainbow Flag normally flies.

There will be a short program, and the raising of the American Flag. The American Flag will fly for the day.
