2006 Theme Has Been Chosen!

Next year's parade and celebration will highlight the pillars of the San Francisco LGBT committee’s core mission and incorporate education, outreach and action on the issues facing our community. In alignment, the 2006 theme is:

“Commemorate, Educate, Liberate — Celebrate !”

Chosen at the Annual General Membership Meeting held on Sunday, September 18th at the Hotel Vitale (a Pride sponsoring hotel) from a record number of theme proposals, 120 were submitted from members and the community, “Commemorate, Educate, Liberate – Celebrate” will bring the mission of the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Celebration Committee to the forefront of our attention throughout the year.

A Message from Harvey Milk City Hall Memorial Committee

Harvey Milk City Hall Memorial Committee is a non profit effort sponsored by SFLGBT Pride Celebration Committee to raise funds to commission a formal bronze of the late Supervisor Harvey Milk for placement in SF City Hall. We need pro-active volunteers of all stripes, voting committee staff, data entry, graphic design, public outreach, etc. Let us hear your ideas! We meet on periodic Mondays at 6:30 PM at 1800 Market Street rm Q36. Regular meeting attendance is not required to be part of our volunteer team.

For more information, please visit our website at www.milkmemorial.org or contact our volunteer coordinator – Nancy McNally at 415.242.3414 or localcolorist@yahoo.com

Calling all Bay Area Non-Profit and Local Businesses

The Partners In Pride Program was developed in response to community request. It is a program designed to offer non-profits and local small business persons the opportunity to be a part of the pride event with similar benefits found in our sponsorship program. It is one-stop shopping offering such benefits as advertising, booth at our celebration, parade entry and some extra added bonuses. The cost is minimal and our event depends upon your participation. If you are interested in learning more about the program, levels and pricing, please email Regina Bauer at reginab@sfpride.org.

We love sending you these Newsletters and keeping you up-to-date, but if you would
