Take a Stand for Pride
Equality Is A Year-Round Commitment
The burden of our dreams for equality and justice lies on our collective shoulders. Since 1970, San Francisco Pride has been a witness to monumental changes in society.
In 2015 we witnessed:
- The Supreme Court decision, Obergefell v. Hodges, establishing the civil right of marriage as settled law.
- Both challenges and support from communities of faith.
- Our society’s continuing struggle to realize Martin Luther King Junior’s dream of equality and justice for everyone in every corner of our society.
Every celebration and parade offers an historic moment in the Pride movement. San Francisco Pride uses these moments as opportunities for education and liberation, bringing together the creativity and wisdom of people at the forefront of these victories and challenges.

The theme of the 2016 LGBT Pride Parade, “For Racial and Economic Justice,” continues this exploration, in recognition that our identities are woven fabrics of orientation and gender, class and culture.
But we need your help.
Production of the annual event is budgeted at $2 million. Contingents are registering, we are fielding queries from around the globe, and the excitement is building toward that final weekend in June. We are depending on the input and support of the community. Can you make a donation today?
Your tax-deductible donation will help us as we plan our educational programming and production of the annual event. We will stay in touch over the next few months as we reveal details for 2016.
We look forward to seeing you in June!
