2013 Line-up. Check back for the 2014 schedule.

DJs Six and Candy

San Francisco DJs Six and Candy met one fateful night many years ago and have been working together ever since.  Their obsession for finding new music and remixes paired with their love of throwing parties was the perfect combination and they have as much fun in the DJ booth as their crowd does on the dance floor.  Six and Candy spin the newest indie electro and remixed videos while showcasing the dance-punk and new wave influences near and dear to their hearts.  “We’ve done everything from corporate parties to drag queen wrestling events.”  Previously headlining club nights Bender at the Transfer, Apocalypso at the Cat Club and Code at Double Dutch, you can now catch them whipping up a dance floor for Get Lucky at various local venues. “We’ve been blessed to work with so many talented, creative and fabulous people and feel lucky to share the music we love and introduce people to their new favorite jams.”

Fringe DJs Blondie K & subOctave spin music videos from the best of indie rock, electro pop and anything else that sounds interesting in the music underground.   They are best known for spinning their own video edits of the latest remixes causing a buzz on the dance floor.  As local DJs in San Francisco, they throw San Francisco’s monthly indie music video dance party Fringe @ Madrone Art Bar every 3rd Saturday.

Other DJ appearances include Cat Club (Temptation, Apocalypso), the Indie Oasis Stage at SF Pride, The Lookout (Electric Feel, Get Lucky), DNA Lounge (Fringe@DNA, All Hallow’s Eve, Pop Roxx, Blow Up) and guest appearances at Mighty, Ruby Skye, Amnesia, Milk Bar, Underground SF, the Den at the Fox and Cafe Du Nord.

“In this multimedia age, there’s one dance night in the city that rules them all, and it goes by the name of Fringe. It’s the indie music lovers’ holy grail, complete with giant video projections–which means for one night a month, you can pretend the glory of MTV never died. ” – 7×7 Magazine

The duo play for huge crowds every weekend with an unparalleled collection of 100% genre-busting bootleg mashups. Their own Bootie events in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, and Seattle draw thousands every weekend, and their creative themes and ampedup energy always keep things fresh. As tireless mashup evangelists, A Plus D tour several times a year, and have brought their signature Bootie Mashup sound to five different continents. Nailing that sweet spot between up-and-coming chart hits and classic songs that hit the nostalgia button, the dance floor becomes as mashed-up as the music. For eight years in a row, A Plus D / Bootie have won such awards as “Best Club Night,” “Best Promoter,” and “Best DJs” from multiple media outlets.

DJ Starr

DJ Starr has been hitting the decks since her late teens, with 13 years behind the decks, you know she has a passion for a party! In the old days, she found her roots in the New Wave/Goth scene. As time progressed, so did her taste. And her passion for all things electronica blossomed! These days, you can hear her slamming the dance floor with Indie Electro Remixes at her home base in the East Bay, The White Horse. But she doesn't just hide behind the decks, she loves to rock out on the dance floor! This will be her 3rd return to SF Pride, and she's ready to BRING THE BASS!

"So if I had one chance, motherfuckers I'm gonna make y'all dance." DJ Nico has been party rocking all over San Francisco for the past 7 years. After being bitten by the DJ bug while working at Virgin Megastore, DJ Nico soon began tearing up house parties with her never ending enthusiasm, eclectic taste in music and sweet dance moves, before making her way into the club scene. This energetic hiphop DJ recently turned her focus onto electro and indie rock after joining forces with DJs Starr, Candy and Bad Mouth and forming the Femme Fatale DJ crew. Currently DJ Nico is throwing the multi-genre dance debauchery party Dry Hump and Sex Ed, a party dedicated to DJ's and live music with the infamous Black Glitter crew.

I'm a San Francisco Drag Queen performing all over the Bay Area, LA and Mexico! I'm part of a collective group called Black Glitter (a group of performers, musicians, graphic designers, etc.). Together we curate art shows and other events. I am currently joining forces and collaborating on a EP with the amazing band, "Daddies Plastik." Keep your eye out for us this summer!

DJ Candy grew up with seventies disco and eighties new wave and that influences everything that she does. “Without emulating the spirit, I want to bring the feeling of my early club experiences to my current events. I know what it's like to be lifted off your seat by a song and I aspire to play music that will move my audience. I am constantly on the look out for new music that rocks my face and I love introducing my audience to their new favorite jams.”

Starting his DJ career as a resident at Shadowplay and Lucky Pierre at the Stud, Six met his long-time DJ partner, Candy, and the pair began throwing monthly parties at the Transfer (Bender) and the Cat Club (Apocalypso), focusing on bringing the newest indie electro to the dancefloor while showcasing the dance-punk and new wave near and dear to his heart.

You can shake it to Six’s current obsessions at Get Lucky! at the Lookout, CODE at Double Dutch and other roving Apocalypso Presents parties.  (facebook.com/deejaysix)

Starr has been a Bay Area DJ for 12 years, starting with her roots in the goth and new wave scene. As time progressed, so did she and she found her love for all electronica music. She's ready to bring the house down with indie electro and bangin’ remixes with bad ass bass lines! This is her second return to SF Pride!  You can catch her all around the bay. In the 7 years he’s been djing, Medic has been seen behind the decks at 1015, the infamous Pink Saturday block party during Pride, DNA Lounge, as well as clubs around the country and even a few internationally. In his hometown of San Francisco, he runs DOPE (First Fridays @ Lookout) with his business partner Orme Dominique and has residencies spinning at Bearracuda (First Saturdays @ Club Eight), Cubcake (Second Fridays @ Lonestar), Sunday Scruffy Sunday (Second Sundays @ 440), this DJ keeps his music interests as varied as the parties he’s involved with. With as much love for electroclash, nu disco, and synth pop as for vocal house, fidget, electro, and guilty pleasure mainstream hits. Often seen jumping around, singing along to songs, and daring everyone on his dance floor to have nearly as much fun as he is.
