Josh Klipp

Joshua Klipp is a transgender singer who’s been featured on the Tyra Banks Show and made a music video with Margaret Cho which charted on LOGO’s Top 10.  In 2007 his music was featured on Showtime’s hit series “The L Word” and on SIRIUS OutQ’s Top 20.  His album, “Won’t Stop Now” launched on PlanetOut and Gay.com, and features the song, “Little Girl” – the first time in music history that a transman has recorded a track alongside his pre-transition voice.  His live performances feature the choreography and talents of the Sarah Bush Dance Project.

Josh always dreamt of being a singer, but couldn’t put himself out there he acknowledged himself as transgender.  Ironically, making the decision to transition meant Josh had to accept that his voice may change too dramatically to ever be able to sing again.  Having worked hard to return to singing, Josh now views his music not only as his most soulful form of self-expression, but as a means to reach people around the world and educate them on issues facing transgender people.  He takes the responsibility of role model very seriously, corresponding regularly with fans and members of the LGBT community.  He also works hard to draw upon the talents of the LGBT community in creating his music:  his producer, backup singers, remixers, dancers, and more are all members of the LGBT community.
