Venue Managers:
Jan Couvillon, Kellyn Antolak from New Leaf Outreach to Elders, Dan Ashbrook from Lavender Seniors, Patrick Larkin from Castro Senior Center, in partnership with Openhouse and Fountaingrove LGBT housing.

Lavender Seniors, located in Alameda County, serves LGBT seniors 55 and older. New Leaf Outreach to Elders, located in San Francisco County, serves LGBT seniors 50 and older and disabled 18 and older. Castro Senior Center, located in San Francisco, is an LGBT friendly senior center. Openhouse located in San Francisco will serve all levels of income in it’s LGBT senior housing. Fountaingrove, located in Santa Rosa, is a prospective LGBT senior housing in the works. Stop by the Elder Space Saturday or Sunday to learn more about these organizations and talk with other LGBT seniors.  

The Lavender Scrolls Project

Visibility, voice, community, understanding, history-Lavender Seniors of the East Bay present The Lavender Scrolls Project, a visual exhibit of the lives of LGBT elders ages 58 to 85. These life-size canvass scrolls featuring photographs and life-story excerpts will be exhibited in the Elder Space. The project was funded in part by the California Council for the Humanities California Stories Initiative.
