In an effort broaden its reach and help the Pride organization better serve the needs of the community, a Community Advisory Board (CAB) was created in 2010.
The CAB is comprised of a group of volunteers who offer the Pride Board advice on an as needed basis, assisting the Pride Board in achieving a wide range of organizational objectives, with the ultimate goal of ensuring a successful organization that serves the needs of our diverse community. CAB members have a variety of backgrounds and experiences and bring a wide range of talent to the organization.
Most recently, the CAB met with new CEO, Earl Plante and new Board members to hear updates on current plans for the parade and festival. Lisa, Earl and the CAB also explored ways in which the CAB could assist the Board in achieving it’s goals.
Lisa Williams commented, “we are excited to have the support and input from the Community Advisory Board. The Community Advisory Board has played a pivital role in the ongoing success of the event”
CAB Chair Anna Damiani mentioned that the CAB is currently looking for additional individuals to join the Community Advisory Board – people who are willing to give some of their time and energy to help Pride succeed, thrive, and plan for the future needs of the entire spectrum of our community.
