The American Cancer Society is looking for LGBT cancer survivors, their friends, and allies to march with us this June 29th. We understand that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people are at greater risk for cancer and less likely to access necessary and appropriate diagnostic and treatment resources.
Engagement of the LGBT community in the fight against cancer speaks to our mission, activities and volunteerism. If you’re looking for information about being gay with cancer, we have useful resources such as Cancer Facts just for you. We’re a presence in the community, and we’ve attended Pride events in Atlanta, Long Island, Newark, NYC, San Diego and San Francisco.
Please come and join the American Cancer Society as we walk in the 2014 San Francisco Pride Parade. We invite everyone (LGBT cancer survivors, family, friends, as well as anyone who is dedicated to finishing the fight against cancer) to join us in this wonderful community event.
Sign up to march in our contingent by visiting EventBrite and get your free ticket to be a part of the fun!
