Pride’s Grant Giving Program Sets New Heights

$169,289.24
Last night, SF Pride hit a new height in charitable giving as we handed out $169,289.24 in grants to our 2011 Community Partners. Each year, Pride teams with Bay Area nonprofits to help run our donations gates, beverage booths, and support accessibility services at the annual San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade. This year we granted back funds raised at the 2011 event to over 70 Bay Area nonprofits devoted to issues related to the LGBT community, HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and other cancers, youth, animal welfare, and homelessness and in doing so, reached a new milestone in Pride’s grant giving.

With our grant distributions at our August 16 Check Granting Party, SF Pride has now donated nearly $2 million dollars since we first started our Community Partner Program in 1997. That makes for 15 successful years of giving back to our community and investing in organizations that make our lives and our communities stronger.

Thanks to all our 2011 Community Partners:
