(San Francisco) – The board of directors of the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee appointed Xi’an Chandra Redack and Larry Crickenberger to board seats at their meeting on April 1, 2014.
Xi’an Chandra Redack has been involved in a variety of LGBT groups since moving to San Francisco in 1982. She currently works in customer service and is a department coordinator at Rainbow Grocery Cooperative. In her spare time, she ís a musician and composer, recently performing guitar, vocals and live percussion on her first album, ìKiwi.î She is particularly interested in LGBT people of color, women, youth and transgender issues. For the past six months sheís been helping to organize her building of residence at 1049 Market Street against an impending eviction.
Larry Crickenberger brings vast finance and law experience to the Pride board, as well as volunteer experience.
He has worked as an administrative law judge, attorney, financial adviser, and most recently as Vice President-Senior Account Executive at Fidelity Investments in Burlingame, CA. His community involvement spans organizations concerned with hunger, wildlife, the environment, and LGBT rights. Previously, he served as treasurer and vice president of Independent Living Resource Center in San Francisco.
