(San Francisco, CA) San Francisco Pride was voted “Utopian Pride” in the Best of GayCities 2013 Vote. With over 80,000 votes cast, San Francisco Pride won with nearly double the number of votes of the other five cities competing in the same category.
Previously, San Francisco Pride won the title “Best Pride City” in the Best of GayCities 2011 vote. The June 30, 2013 event, fueled by the excitement around the demise of Proposition 8 earlier that week, saw record numbers of attendees along the Market Street Parade route and San Francisco’s Civic Center, with estimates as high as 1.8 million.
San Francisco Pride Travel Partner W Hotels also received the “Heavenly Stays” vote. For a complete list of categories, winners and runners up, visit: http://www.gaycities.com/best-of-2013/.
